Statement

I am interested in how the fabrics we use and wear become embedded with the imprint of our lives. Curved shapes that sag and droop recall the body as it ages. The stains, snags, and holes in these garments-turned-paintings hold evidence of the passing of time and their former owners and therefore become relics of their lives. The residual energy remaining in these materials, and the use of hair, suggest that these static works may actually be alive.
